With it, clean cuts are possible by preci-
sion guiding of the machine along a cutting
line. In addition, the hard anodising of the
guide rail makes possible easy gliding of the
machine and thereby reduces the required
advancing force while improving the work
progress.
The saw's side suction clearance on the bar
is possible to adjust with the adjusting nobs
[6-1].
Mounting the Guide Rail
(GRP 800/1400/3000-2)
The mounting of the guide rail [7-1] takes
place with the use of the special screw
clamps CL-GRP 300 [7-2] which are slid
into the receptacle slots provided (Figure
[7a]). This makes secure holding possible
also on uneven surfaces. In addition, the
"Anti-slip Coating" applied to the underside
of the guide rail ensures secure contact and
prevents scratches on sensitive material
surfaces.
Mounting the Connection Piece
(CN-GRP)
Depending on the application and the size
of the work piece, several guide rails can be
connected together (Figure [7c]) with the
use of the connection piece [7-4]. For the
permanent connection of several guide rails,
the connection pieces can be fastened with
screws at the respective threaded holes.
Mounting the Angle Unit (GRP-AG-2)
The combination of the guide rail and the
continuously adjustable angle unit [7-3]
makes possible exact angle cutting, e. g.,
for fi tting work. The angle unit is mounted
according to Figure [7b]. On the scale, the
required angle can be set.
► When sawing with the PROTOOL GRP
guiding system, 4.5 mm is always to be
added to the necessary cutting depth.
Saw Table
Additional application possibilities are avail-
able with the use of a saw table. Further
information in this regard is available from
your dealer.
10 Maintenance
- The unit should be stored in a dry place
where it is protected against freezing.
WARNING
To verify that the protective insulation
remains intact, the machine must be
subjected to a technical safety test
afterwards. For this reason, this work
must be performed exclusively by a
professional electro-workshop.
- With each changing of the saw blade, re-
move deposited saw dust from the inside
of the protective guard.
- The ventilation slots on the motor casing
should be cleaned out from time to time.
After an operating period of approx. 200
hours, the following maintenance work
must be performed:
- Check the motor brushes and replace if
necessary. Clean the motor housing.
- Renew the grease fi lling of the gear-
box.
11 Environmental
Protection/Disposal
Power tools, accessories and packaging
should be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.
Only for EC countries:
Do not dispose of power tools into
household waste!
According to the European Directive
2002/96/EC on waste electrical and elec-
tronic equipment and its incorporation into
national law, power tools that are no longer
suitable for use must be separately collect-
ed and sent for recovery in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
