5 OPERATION

5.1
Switching the appliance on and off (06,
07)
Switching on the tool
1. Bring the appliance in the working position.
2. Press and hold the release lever (06/1) on
the basic appliance.
3. Press the locking button (06/2) to secure the
lever (06/1) in position.
4. Press and hold the on/off switch (06/2) for the
desired mode:
POWER ("fast"): Push the on/off switch
(07/1) forwards.
ECO ("slow"): Push the on/off switch (07/2)
backwards.
Switching off the tool
1. Release ON/OFF switch (06/3).
2. Release the locking button (06/2) to release
the lever (06/1).

Checking the charge status of the
rechargeable battery, "Motion
Detection" (08)
A charge status indicator is located on the top of
the rechargeable battery. This activates automati-
cally for a few seconds if the rechargeable bat-
tery is gently shaken. The rechargeable battery
can also be installed in the appliance. In this
case, you must move the entire appliance gently
back and forth to activate the charge status indi-
cator.
1. Shake the rechargeable battery or move the
entire appliance gently back and forth. The
LEDs of the charge status indicator light ac-
cording to the charge status of the recharge-
able battery.

Lights: Rechargeable battery
is completely discharged.
Flashes repeatedly 1x: Cor-
rectable error, e.g. too high
or low temperature.

ware error, e.g. rechargeable
battery is defective.

Lights: Rechargeable battery is
(08/2)
charged to >0 %.
Green
Lights: Rechargeable battery is
(08/3)
charged to >25 %.
Green
Lights: Rechargeable battery is
(08/4)
charged to >50 %.
Green
Lights: Rechargeable battery is
(08/5)
charged to >75 %.
The green LED for the current charge status
flashes during charging. The green LEDs for the
low charge states light permanently.
Operating time of the rechargeable battery
If the operating time of the rechargeable battery
is reduced in spite of it being fully charged, the
rechargeable battery is at the end of its service
life and must be replaced by a new original re-
chargeable battery.

6 MAINTENANCE AND CARE

WARNING!

Danger of cutting injuries when reaching
into sharp-edged, moving appliance
parts and into cutting tools.
Before maintenance, care and
cleaning work, always switch off the
appliance. Remove the recharge-
able battery.
Always wear protective gloves
during maintenance, care and clean-
ing work.
Do not get the appliance wet or expose it to
moisture.
Clean plastic parts with a cloth and do not
use any cleaning agents or solvents.
Check the electrical contacts for corrosion,
clean with a fine wire brush if necessary and
then spray with a contact spray.
