4.3 General Safety Instructions

CAUTION
Improper use of remote control
Falling due to altered damping behaviour as a result of unexpected switch­
ing into MyMode.
► Receive instruction in the proper use of the remote control unit.
CAUTION
Independent user changes or modifications made to remote control
unit
Falling due to changed damping behaviour caused by unexpected switch­
ing to a MyMode.
► Have any changes or modifications to the remote control carried out
only by Ottobock authorised, qualified personnel.
CAUTION
Improper mode switching using remote control
Falling due to unexpected behaviour of the prosthesis because of changed
damping behaviour.
► Ensure that you stand securely during all switching processes.
► Verify the changed damping characteristics after switching, and
observe the feedback from the acoustic signal emitter and the display
of the remote control.
► Switch back to basic mode once the activities in MyMode have been
completed.
NOTICE
Remote control damage due to water penetration (warranty lapses)
Malfunction of the remote control.
► If necessary, let the remote control unit dry at room temperature (at
least 1 day).
