• This vehicle should be used in good visibility conditions (daytime, no
fog). When in use as a Bicycle Trailer in poor visibility conditions or at
night, dusk or dawn, we recommend that the trailer be equipped with a
lighting system (there may be specific national law applicable to lightning,
be aware of it before use).
WARNING: The person on the bike and the child in the trailer should wear
a helmet.
• Dress the child in proper clothes according to weather conditions and
use an appropriate helmet.
• Children in trailers need to be more warmly dressed than riders of cycles
and should be protected from the rain.
• The trailer can get hot if under the sun for a long time. Make sure that it is
not too hot before seating the child.
• All reflectors shall be visible on the trailer.
HOW SHOULD NOT THIS VEHICLE BE USED?
WARNING: Don't transport pets along with children.
WARNING: Do not allow any of the child's body, clothing, shoelaces, or
toys to come in contact with moving parts.
WARNING: Don't overload the vehicle.
WARNING: Never transport cargo items together with children in the
seating area. They can fall and injure the child. In this situation, you have
to use the luggage compartment (I) on the backside to transport cargo.
WARNING: Cargo must be well secured to ensure that it cannot shift
during transport. Loose cargo and overloading can change the handling
of the trailer, making the vehicle more difficult to control.
WARNING: Never use the handlebar for carrying loads, such as
children's vehicles or bags. Cargo attached to the outside of the vehicle
can drastically affect its handling and stability, potentially resulting in
accidents with serious injury or death.
WARNING: Don't use this trailer for jogging, running, skating or skiing.
WARNING: Don't ride too fast. We recommend a maximum speed
of 25km/h (be aware of specific national legislation regarding road
circulation). Take more attention when driving downhill or around corners,
so never ride faster than its maximum allowable speed. Always reduce
your speed to a walking pace when turning.
WARNING: Never pull the trailer with a motorized vehicle, such as a
moped or scooter. This also applies to motorized bicycles with a maximum
speed of more than 25 km/h. Do not mount the hitch to a bicycle with a
rear-wheel hub motor.
WARNING: Never ride the bicycle at night with the trailer without
adequate lighting. Obey all local legal requirements for lighting.
WARNING: Don't use in circuits too bumpy.
WARNING: Do not modify the trailer.
WARNING: Don't install any accessory not approved by Polisport.
WARNING: Do not install a car seat or any other seating device not
approved by Polisport inside the trailer.
WARNING: Do not use the trailer if any part is broken or damaged. Check
all components regularly and replace any when required. Check the
maintenance chapter.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TOWING BICYCLE
The towing bicycle must be approved by its manufacturer for pulling a
trailer. This information can be found in the owner's manual of the bicycle.
In many countries, pedelecs legally qualify as bicycles. However, e-bikes
with a maximum speed of more than 25 km/h may not be used for pulling
the trailer.
This trailer is compatible with bicycles with 9mm quick-release type rear
wheels and solid wheel axles up to 10mm. Not compatible with 12 mm
thru axles.
We recommend that the rear wheel of the towing bicycle is equipped
with a mudguard in order to prevent debris and dirt to be projected to
the trailer.
• You must cover any sharp or pointy objects on the bicycle that may be
reached by the child, in any situation.
• This trailer is wider than your bicycle. Allow for extra clearance and be
aware of a larger turning radius.
WARNING: Please note that the braking distance of the cycle can increase
when the trailer is attached.
WARNING: Remove the trailer when transporting the bicycle by car
(outside the car), this could lead to an accident.
WARNING: The cycle may behave differently with a children/cargo in the
trailer particularly with regard to balance, steering and braking.
• Before each ride, ensure the attached trailer does not interfere with
braking, pedaling or steering of the bicycle.
WARNING: Failing to follow these recommendations can result in severe
injury or death.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ROAD CIRCULATION AND
TRANSPORTATION OF CHILDREN
WARNING: Be sure to observe and familiarise yourself with all laws that
apply to the transport of children in child trailers and for towing bicycles
in the country or region where you plan to use the trailer regarding, for
example, of lighting and reflectors on road traffic.
