English translation of the German operating instructions
Fold up the cover (Fig. A, 2).
Grip the filter holder (Fig. A, 8) next to the filter
housing (Fig. A, 6) using both hands.
Carefully pull the filter holder, with all attached
parts, off upwards from the edge of the tank (Fig.
A, 10).
Remove the packaging from all parts of the
aquarium.
Make sure that the pump (Fig. A, 4) and the pump
cover (Fig. A, 5) are securely attached to the filter
housing.
Remove the tank from the base plate.
Place the tank down with its lower side onto a flat
surface.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the aquarium due to improper
cleaning.
For cleaning purposes, use only special
cleaning products which are suitable for
aquaria or clean water.
Use only clean water.
Use soft cloths or sponges (e.g. Tetra
EasyWipes).
Rinse the tank out with clean, lukewarm tap water.
Check whether the tank is leaking.
If the tank is leaking, drain the tank and exchange
it at your retailer.
If the tank is leaktight, drain it.
In the wild, goldfishes and betta live in bodies
of water without strong currents. A current is
generated in the tank due to the waterfall in
the CascadeGlobe aquarium. The effects of the
current on the fish can be reduced by the
arrangement of the decoration in the tank.
Distribute the decoration material in the tank so
that the waterfall hits the decoration material.
This settles the current caused by the waterfall.
14
Fill the tank with gravel and aquatic plants (e.g.
Tetra Plantastics) and other waterproof decoration
material as desired.
Remove the packaging from the filter insert.
Place the tank onto the base plate.
Insert the filter insert into the filter housing as
shown in Figure D.
Position the splash protection (9) onto the bracket
on the filter housing (6) as shown in Figure A.
Carefully kink the longer end of the splash
protection downwards.
Position the filter holder, with all attached parts,
on the upper edge of the tank.
With both hands next to the filter housing,
carefully press the filter holder onto the edge of
the tank until the filter holder audibly engages.
ATTENTION!
Malfunctions due to a clogged pump.
Make sure that the pump is positioned
where it is free of sand or other filler
material.
Keep e.g. 7 litres of chlorine-free tap water at the
ready.
Slowly fill the tank until the water level is approx.
2.5 cm (1 inch) below the upper edge.
Close the cover.
