5.4 Anchorage Point Skylotec D-BOLT AP-US-058; AP-US-063-GE-063 and
AP-US-GPS when installed on steel structure for ANSI Z359.1: 2007 apply.
Required fasteners:
The anchor point D Bolt AP-US-058 and AP-US-063-GPS is ANSI Z359.1: 2007 with 22.2 kN as a stop means
Approved for 1 people AND AP-US-063-GE is ANSI Z359.1: 2007 with 44.4 kN as a stop means Approved
for 2 people for attachment when the anchor with connecting means (screws) is detected by Technical Building.
The length must be selected depending on the material thickness of the substructure plus
the D-BOLT's maximum overall height.
Required tools:
§ Drill
§ Steel drill t=17 mm
§ Countersink
Possibly paint to correct installation site

§ Calibrated torque spanner with articulated head size 24
Safety information
For installation on steel or steel structure:
The torque should be 230 Nm with a 8.8 bolt M16 and 135 Nm with a stainless steel bolt A2-70. The spacing of holes
should be selected so that the anchor point always rests with its entire mounting surface on the steel.
The maximum bolt length should not exceed 8 x t (8 x 16 mm = 128 mm).
Thread machining is only approved with a material thickness of at least 16 mm.
The area where the anchor point is mounted on must safely absorb the static forces for AP-US-058 and
AP-US-063-GPS of 22,2 kN and for AP-US-063-GE of 44,4 kN. The static load capacity of this area must be
demonstrated. Then secure the screw connection with liquid screw lock against unintentional loosening.
Always use washers and nuts for through-holes.
