8.1 Cleaning housing, pedestal and wall arm

The housing and moving parts of the appliance are made of sturdy materials that
are easy to clean. You will avoid discolouration if you immediately remove traces
of colouring products from the plastic.
Electric shock hazard
• Only clean the appliance with the plug b removed, and do not use
a wet cloth.
• Protect the appliance from splashing and do not use a wet cloth for
cleaning.
• Do not introduce objects into openings in the appliance.
• Do not use sharp objects, e.g. a tail comb, to remove dust or foreign
bodies.
1. Allow appliance to cool down for 10 minutes.
2. Switch off appliance at the ON/OFF switch 8.
3. Remove the plug b of the pedestal and wall-mounted version.
Risk of fire / Damage to the appliance
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly flammable
substances for cleaning.
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or scouring products.
4. Clean appliance surfaces with a soft cloth that has been slightly moistened in
water with a little washing-up liquid added and well wrung out beforehand.
5. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment to clean the ventilation open-
ings 2 of the heating elements 1.

8.2 Replacing protection filter

Damage to the appliance
• The protection filter 1 film and the temperature sensor 3 are
sensitive and easily scratched.
• Do not touch or clean the protection filter 1 film or temperature
sensor 3.
1. Grasp protection filter 1 by the sides and pull out.
2. Hold the new protection filter 1 by the sides and insert into the opening until
it snaps into place.
3. Check that the protection filter 1 is securely in place.
