Within the projection range, the area between a
lens and the hazard distance is identified as the
Hazard Area (refer to the following figures). The
intensity of the light exceeds the Maximum
Permissible Exposure (M.P.E.) on the eye cornea in
the Hazard Area. It is dangerous if the operator or
spectator looks at the light beam directly.
For secure installation (for products with an RG3
lens attached)
When you install an RG3 product, refer to the
installation examples below and perform the
following.
Install the product on a place where a sufficient
height (2.5 m or higher) is ensured above floor
level to avoid looking at the light beam in the
Hazard Area.
Use physical barriers (or a warning sign on the
floor) for spectators to avoid unintentional
access to the area.
For secure operation
If you install the RG3 product without ensuring
sufficient height, operators should limit access of
spectators to the Hazard Area.
If someone unavoidably enters to the Hazard Area,
turn off the product or press the BLANK key to cut
off the image temporarily.
Even when using the RG2 product, make sure that
spectators do not look into intra-beam (direct) at
close range.
For secure maintenance (for products with an
RG3 lens attached)
Maintenance of the RG3 product must be
conducted by qualified service personnel.
