Note
• Make sure that the settings on the wireless
transmitter (A) and the wireless receiver (B)
are identical.
• You can apply these settings to other wireless
transmitters/wireless receivers. This allows you
to access to camera with multiple wireless
transmitters at the same time or to operate
multiple wireless receivers (cameras) with one
wireless transmitter.
4.2 Inserting the battery:
Insert two AAA batteries each into the wireless
transmitter (A) and the wireless receiver (B). Ensure
that the polarity is correct.
Warning – Batteries
• When inserting batteries, note the correct
polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the
batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could
result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
• Always choose the battery size and grade that
best suits the intended purpose. Keep
these operating instructions in a safe place
for future reference, as they provide
information about choosing the right battery.
• Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries
of a different type or make.
• Immediately remove and dispose of dead
batteries from the product.
• Remove the batteries from products that are
not being used for an extended period.
4.3 Connecting to the camera:
Connect the adapter cable to the remote input on
your camera.
Note – Adapter cable
If you do not have this type of cable, we
recommend purchasing an adapter cable
separately. You can find an appropriate selection
of Hama products at www.hama.com.
• Use the plug connection to connect the adapter
cable to the cable of the wireless receiver (B).
Tighten a sleeve nut over the connection until
hand-tight to protect the connection. (D)
Note
• You can attach the wireless receiver (B) to
your camera's flash shoe using the standard
flash shoe connector (11).
• If you would like to use the camera's built-in
flash, you can also place the wireless receiver
(B) on a tripod using the ¼" thread (11).
• To switch on the wireless receiver (B), press the
on/off switch (8) for about 3 seconds. The status
LED (10) is now red.
• The status LED (10) flashes in red when the
receiver is active.
• To switch off the receiver (B), press the on/off
switch (8) for about 3 seconds. The status LED
(10) flashes red three times and then goes out.
5. Operation
• Press the shutter release of the wireless
transmitter (1)/wireless receiver (9) half-way to
automatically focus on the subject using the
autofocus and the exposure meter.
• The status LEDs on the wireless transmitter (2)
and the wireless receiver (10) are now green.
Note
You can only use this function if autofocus is
activated on your camera.
