Taking into operation
Before commissioning this additional device, please read and
observe the operating instructions enclosed with the heater.
Remote control
The device is operated via a remote control (1) with an infra-
red transmitter (IR remote control) and an infrared receiver
installed in the cover (2). To carry out the individual switching
commands, the remote control must always be pointed at the
infrared receiver.

g = Function display (every touch of a button is acknowledged
when the LED shines)

Switching on
Switch on the flame effect via the button (a) "On / Off" on the
remote control. The last selected settings are used.
Setting the brightness
Set the brightness of the flame and embers using the buttons (b)
"+" or "-".
Set the volume
Set the volume using the buttons (c) "+" or "-".
Set the cracking noises
Repeated pressing of the button (d) can call up two different
crackling noises one after another.

Set the flame effect
Repeated pressing of the button (e) can call up two different
flame effects one after another.
The following effects are available:
Embers
Embers with small flame
Embers with large flame
Set the flame speed
Repeated pressing of the key (f) can call up two different
flame speeds one after another.
Switching off
The flame effect is switched off by pressing (a) "On / Off" on
the remote control. The last selected settings are used.
Manual switching on / off / default setting
Switching off
The flame effect can be
switched off using
a button on the lower side
of the cover.
Switching on
Pressing the button – for
around 1 second – switches
on the flame effect using the
last selected settings.
Default setting
Pressing the key – for approx. 3 seconds – resets the settings
of the flame effect to the works settings.
Changing the battery in the IR remote
control
Please be sure to use leak-proof micro-batteries only,
type LR 3, AM4, AAA, MN 2400 (1.5 V).
The battery compartment is located on the rear of the remote
control unit.
When fitting new batteries, ensure the
polarity (positive / negative) is correct!

Before throwing away a defective remote control, it is es-
sential that the batteries be removed and disposed of in the
