OPERATION
1.
Open the valve on the gas supply cylinder.
2. Press and turn the variable control knob to the PILOT position (counterclockwise).
3. Press and hold the Control knob for 30 seconds. While holding down the variable
control knob, press the ignition knob several times until the pilot light ignites.
Release the control knob 20 to 30 seconds after ignition.
Note:
- If a new tank has just been connected: let the air escape from the gas pipe for at least
1 minute.
- When igniting the pilot light, make sure that the variable control knob is pressed
continuously while the ignition knob is pressed. The variable control knob can only be
released after the pilot light has burned for 20 to 30 seconds.
- Use the peephole on the base of the burner to keep an eye on the pilot light.
- If the pilot flame does not burn or go out, repeat step 3.
4. Turn the variable control knob to LO and leave it there for at least 5 minutes before
turning the knob to the desired temperature setting.
5. If the burner flame goes out accidentally or is blown out by the wind, turn the
heater off and wait at least 5 minutes for the gas to dissipate before lighting it
again. This will prevent a possible gas explosion. Repeat steps 2 to 4.
To turn the patio heater off:
1.
