Device use
Choice of location
The scale should be operated on a stable, level surface. Avoid locations with rapid temperature changes,
excessive dust, humidity, air currents, vibration, electromagnetic fields, heat or direct sunlight.
Levelling the scale
Adjust the levelling feet until the bubble is in the centre of the level indicator circle (located on the front
panel).
NOTE: Make sure the scale is level each time you change its location.
Connecting the power supply
AC power supply
Ensure that the intended AC power source is compatible with the power supply ratings. Connect the
supplied AC power supply to the power input socket on the back of the balance. Connect the AC power
supply to a properly grounded power outlet.
Battery power supply
Charging of the battery will begin when the AC adapter is properly connected. The LED indicator below and
to the left of the scale shows the battery charging status:
Green: fully charged
Yellow: partially charged and charging
Red: battery almost discharged
When mains power is not available, the scale will operate on the internal battery. The scale will
automatically switch to battery power in the event of a power failure or disconnection of the power cable.
A low battery level is indicated by an indicator light.
Before using the scale for the first time, the internal battery should be fully charged for a maximum of 12
hours.
NOTE: The battery should be recharged every 3 months if the scale is not used for an extended period. The
lead acid battery should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
