MAIN FEATURES
QUICK AUTO REVERSE
The tape quickly reverses {less than six-tenths of a second} the
moment the infrared sensor detects the leader tape;resulting in
almost no interruption in either recording or playback.
APSS (AUTO PROGRAM
SEARCH SYSTEM)
This function will search for the beginning
of programmes
on
commercially available and other pre-recorded tapes and will start
playing from the beginning of the programme.
INTRODUCTION SCANNING
This function will search for the beginning of each programme ona
pre-recorded tape and automatically play approximately 12 seconds
of the programme, then resume forward APSS or reverse APSS and
search for the beginning of the next programme, and continuously
repeat this process.

REPEATED
PLAYBACK
This allows you to listen to your favorite tape repeatedly.
One side
can be played repeatedly up to 48 times.
Both sides can be
repeatedly played up to 24 times.
A single programme can be played repeatedly up to 48 times. These
three options can be selected.

AUTO TAPE SELECTOR
By simply placing the cassette into the cassette compartment, the
tape type will be automatically selected, (METAL, CrO2 or NORMAL)
AUTO-SPACING
When the INTRO SCAN/AUTO
SPACING
button is pushed during
recording, approximately a 4-second blank space will be recorded.
When this blank section is present, this allows for the APSS, single
programme playback and introduction scanning to operate.
DOLBY B-C NR SYSTEM
This unit incorporates the Dolby B-C NR system which suppresses
tape "hiss". This feature especially enhances CrO2 and METAL tape
performance.

DOLBY B-C NR SYSTEM
DOLBY 8 noise reduction is the standard noise reduction system for
consumer products now in use in millions of cassette recorders, FM
receivers, music centers, and car stereo components.
It provides
10
dB of noise reduction above 5 kHz when used during recording and
playback.
DOLBY C noise reduction is a new system for consumer
tape recording developed by Dolby Laboratories to provide up to 20
dB of noise reduction from 1 kHz to 10 kHz.
Their differences are as follows.

Inthe high frequency reproduction, the noise reduction amount
with the C type is up to 20 dB, almost double that with the B
type. With the C type NR system turned on, the amount of noise
is reduced to one tenth of that with DOLBY NR system turned
off,

In the low frequency reproduction, the C type provides more
noise reduction than the B type.
