5.2 Lubrication
Weekly or every me you change the towed semi-trailer or every
5,000 km:
• Uncouple the semi-trailer;
• Clean the Fi h Wheel and the skid plate of the semi-trailer;
• Grease the top surface of the Fi h Wheel (Except for model JSK
38CXW), the locking system components and the King Pin (see
page 46);
• Use heavy-duty grease (EP) with a lithium soap base and extreme
pressure addi ve.
If the vehicle or semi-trailer is to be used on unpaved roads,
cleaning and lubrica on should be reduced to 2-day intervals.
Lubricate the Fi h Wheel top surface (except for the model with
polymeric top liners), the locking mechanism and King Pin
before using for the first me and each me a er cleaning the
Fi h Wheel.

5.2.1 Central Lubrication
For this model of Fi h Wheel, it is possible to incorporate the
op onal lubrica on of the locking jaw, in which it is possible to
incorporate grease from the side of the Fi h Wheel as shown.
Note
The use of fenders is recommended for vehicles traveling on
unpaved roads to prevent abrasive elements (earth, sand, stones,
etc.) from forming between the Fi h Wheel and the skid plate of
the semi-trailer.
