4.3 Opening the Fifth Wheel
• Li the safety latch (1).

• Push the handle (2) forward to posi on A to unlock it.

• Pull the handle (2) out to end posi on B;
• Push the handle (2) frontwards and fit the knob cut-out into the
tooth of guide (3), as shown in detail C;
• In this posi on, the Fi h Wheel will be ready to proceed with the
uncoupling of the King Pin. Once the King Pin is removed, the Fi h
Wheel will automa cally assume the proper posi on for the next
coupling opera on, as showed in the chapter 4.2.
