BOILER START-UP
(PRELIMINARY CHECK)
To start up the boiler:
- check that the declaration of conformity of installation is supplied with
the appliance;
- check gas supply circuit tightness with the 0n/Off valves closed and
subsequently open with gas valve closed; no gas flow must be indicated
on the meter for 10 minutes;
- ensure that the type of gas used is that for which the boiler is arranged;
- check connection to a 230V-50Hz power supply, correct L-N polarity
and the earthing connection;
- ensure the heating system is filled with water and that the manometer
indicates a pressure of 1÷1.2 bar;
- make sure the air valve cap is open and that the system is deaerated;
- switch on the boiler and check correct ignition;
- make sure the gas max., medium and min. flowrate and pressure values
correspond to those given in the handbook on pages 118-119;
- check activation of the safety device in case of no gas, and the relative
intervention time;
- check activation of the main switch ahead of the boiler and on the
unit;
- check that the intake and/or exhaust terminals are not blocked;
- check activation of the safety pressure switch against no air;

- check activation of all regulation devices;
- seal the gas flow regulation devices (if the settings are modified);
- check production of domestic hot water;
- check tightness of water circuits;
- check adequate ventilation and/or aeration of the place where the boiler
is installed.
If any checks concerning safety give negative results, do not start the
system.
