11.1 Safety and responsibility
All safety warnings in this instruction manual are marked with a warning symbol.
They draw your attention to potential hazards. Be sure to read and observe this
information.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
Packaging materials (e.g. plastic film, polystyrene) can be dangerous for
children. Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children.
This appliance can be used by children above 8 years of age, and by persons
with limited physical, sensory or mental aptitude or lack of experience and/or
knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and understand the associated hazards.

Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
•
Children must not carry out cleaning and servicing without supervision.
•
Children may only carry out servicing and cleaning work on it under
supervision.
11.2 Safety and warnings
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Never hold the plug of the mains cable with damp or wet hands when plugging in
or unplugging the appliance.
•
In an emergency, pull the plug out of the plug socket immediately.
•
Do not pull the plug out of the plug socket with the cable.
•
Remove the plug from the plug socket before starting cleaning or service
work.
A damaged power supply cable must be replaced by the supplier, dealer or after-
sales service without delay. If cable or plug are damaged, do not use the
appliance any longer.
Do not carry out any work on the appliance other than the cleaning and service
work described in this instruction manual.
