The dust created when work is in progress can
often be damaging to health (e.g. during
processing of oak and beech wood, stone, metal
and paintwork which can contain lead or other
harmful materials). This dust should not be allowed
to penetrate the body. Use vacuum extraction
appliances and wear suitable masks to provide
additional protection from dust. Remove any accu-
mulation of dust thoroughly, e.g. by vacuuming
with the appropriate special suction unit.

5 Special Product Features
Integral dust extraction:
Unique "Intec" filter system makes dust-free
working possible. Cleaning can be carried out
several times problem-free.
Ergonomical design:
Innovative, ergonomical design makes fatigue-
proof work possible.
Sanding disc clamping system:
Innovative, convenient sanding disc clamping
system, with effortless operation.
Turn-off carbon brushes:
If the brushes are worn out, the machine switches
off automatically. This prevents damage to the
motor.

6 Initial Operation
Before plugging in check to see that the
rated mains voltage and mains frequency,
as stated on the rating label, match with
your power supply.
6.1
Installation of sanding disc
Fold up both clamping elements (2). Clamp the
sanding disc to a clamping element. Pull it tightly
over the sanding plate (1) and clamp to the other
clamping element.
7 Use
7.1
Switching on and off
To start the machine, press the trigger (3).
For continuous operation the trigger can be locked
with the lock button (4). To stop the machine,
press the trigger again.
7.2
Dust Extraction
For optimum dust extraction:
Ensure that the holes on the sanding disc are
aligned with the sanding plate extraction holes.
Own extraction system:
The dust collection box (7) (Supplied equipment
SR 10-23 Intec) is available for the SR 10-23, SR
20-23 as an accessory. See Accessories section.
Extraction device:
SR 10-23 Intec: Remove dust collection box (7)
towards the back.
SR 10-23, SR 20-23: Remove sealing cap (6).
An extraction device can be connected to the
ejection nozzle (5). Use a suction hose with a 35
mm connector diameter.
Note: When sanding abrasive material (e.g.
plaster, etc.) we recommend connecting a suitable
dust extractor.
8 Cleaning, Maintenance
Emptying dust collection box (SR 10-23 Intec):
Open cleaning flap (8). Empty dust collection box
(7). Remove sanding dust filter (9) and knock off
dust stuck to filter or remove with brush.
During insertion: Ensure that sanding dust filter is
inserted into lateral guides.
Clean the machine regularly. This includes
vacuum cleaning the ventilation louvres on the
motor.
