WARNING!
Risk of severe injuries.
Always wear protective goggles.

Only use a diamond cut-off wheel. Several dia-
mond cut-off wheels must not be used.
Do not use composite discs.
Use flexible underlays if these are supplied with
the abrasive and when they are required.
Observe the instructions of the tool or accessory
manufacturer! Protect the wheels and discs from
grease and run-out!
Accessories must be stored and handled with
care in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
The workpiece must be resting on a stable sur-
face and secured to prevent slipping, e.g. using
clamping devices. Large workpieces must be
adequately supported.
Damaged or vibrating tools or tools with run-out
must not be used.
Check that at the point where work is to be per-
formed that there are no power, water, gas
lines (e.g. using a metal detector).
Avoid damage to gas or water pipes, electric
cables and load-bearing walls (statics).
Pull the plug out of the plug socket before car-
rying out any adjustments, retooling or mainte-
nance.
Observe the operating instructions of the at-

Further safety instructions
Reducing the dust load
Several rods that are not produced by means
of sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other
work processes contain chemicals that are known
to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproduc-
tive harm. Several examples of these chemicals
include:
— Lead from lead-containing paint,
— Mineral dust from mineral stones, cement and
other brickwork materials, as well as
— Arsenic and chrome from chemically treated
wood
The risk posed to you due to exposure varies de-
pending on how often your carry out this type of
work. In order to reduce your exposure to these
chemicals: Work in a well-ventilated area and
work with approved protective equipment, e.g.
dust masks which have been specially developed
to filter out microscopic particles.
This also applies to dust deriving from other
materials, e.g. several types of wood (such as oak
or beech-tree dust), metal, asbestos. Other known
afflictions include allergic reactions, respiratory ill-
nesses for example. Do not swallow or inhale dust.
Observe the directives and national regulations
applicable for your material, personnel, appli-
cation and place of use (e.g. health and safety
regulations, disposal).
Capture the particulates generated at the place
of origin, do not allow them to be deposited in
the surroundings.
Use accessories suitable for special work. This
will reduce the uncontrolled escape of particu-
lates into the surroundings.
Use a suitable dust extraction system.
Reduce the dust load by:
• Ensuring the escaping flow of particulates and
exhaust air from the machine is not directed
towards yourself or towards other persons in the
vicinity or towards settled dust.
• Use an extractor system and/or an air cleaner,
• Provide good workplace ventilation and keep
clean by vacuuming. Sweeping or blowing
swirls up dust.
• Vacuum or wash protective clothing. Do not
blow, hit or brush.
WARNING!
Dusts from materials can be harmful to
health.
Use a dust mask or respirator.
