4. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
- The pump cable plug must match the socket. Never modify the plug in anyway. Do no use any
adapter plugs. Unmodifi ed plugs and matching sockets will reduce risk of electric shock.
- Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
- Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the pump. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase
the risk of electric shock.
- When operating a pump outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
- The pump is equipped with a socket compatible with it. The power source of your country must
be in keeping with international regulations.
- If supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar-
ly qualifi ed persons in order to avoid hazard.
WARNING: Inadequate extension cords can be dangerous. If an extension cord is used, it shall be
suitable for outdoor use, and the connection has to be kept dry and off the ground. It is recom-
mended that this is accomplished by means of a cord reel which keeps the socket at least 60 mm
above the ground.
