MAINTENANCE
DAILY
Check for possible compressed air leaks. Replace
the hose and coupling if there are any.
If there is no pressure regulation filter, purge the
circuit to clean it of possible accumulated dirt and
set the pressure before connecting the air hose to
the rivet gun.
Check that the nozzle assembly is correct.
Check the mandrels regularly; replace if they are
damaged or exceed the recommended number of
parts.
ADDING OIL
When there is an evident loss in the travel distance
of
the riveter, this indicates that it may be time to
replace the oil.
1. Disconnect the air supply.
2. Remove the Num. 15 oil locking screw (Figure
I).
3. Fill the syringe with 2-3 ml oil, ensuring that no
air is in the syringe or in the injection tube (Figure
J).
4. Connect the syringe injection tube and tighten
it
with a wrench (Figure K).
5. Press the syringe plunger several times,
allowing the necessary amount of oil to enter,
while excess air will travel into the syringe.
6. Remove the syringe by unscrewing the injection
tube.
7. Replace the oil screw.
