5.3. Fixing the spindle head set on the column:
• Place the Spindle Head Set on the column carefully.
• The set must slide on the column.
• Align the center of the Spindle Head Set with the center of the column and base.
• Tighten the two sets of bolts found on the right side of the Spindle Head Set using the Allen Tool J (Figure
8.6).
5.4. Installing the feed handle:
• Screw the feed handles in the holes on the pinion shaft (Figure 8.7)

5.5. Connecting the chuck to the spindle/morse taper:
• Attach the chuck guard 21 to the spindle through the Philips screw.
• Align in the chuck 17 with the spindle 14 and the latter with in the head set 1.
• Open the drill chuck jaws completely by turning it anti-clockwise.
• Fit the spindle with the chuck, by pressing upwards so that the chuck couples with the spindle (Figure 8.8).
Note: the drill chuck that comes with the machine is available for drill bits from 5 to 20mm. For drilling above that
mentioned in Table 6.1, use standard drill with morse taper shank No. 2 FSC 25P, morse taper shank No. 3 FSC 32P.
5.6. Installing belt guard knob and bolt:
• Open the Belt Guard cover.
• Insert the Belt Guard Cover bolt, from its center, through the hole.
• Place the knob on the bolt and tighten it by hand.
• Use a Phillips screw driver to tighten the bolt and the knob properly (Figure 8.9).
