Close the housing by turning the top clockwise until the arrows marked on the housing
are almost aligned, reinstall and charge.
NOTE: Back-flushing and rinsing will improve flow but will not restore the Pre-Filter
Cartridge to "like new" condition. The improvement will be less each time you back- flush
and rinse, until it is necessary to replace the Pre-Filter EM Media Insert to restore the flow
rate to an acceptable level.
MAINTAINING THE MAIN FILTER
Important: never Back-flush the Main Filter
Back-flushing the Main Filter will damage its internal structure, causing the filter to
become ineffective. Back-flushing can also contaminate the downstream media of the
Main Filter so that it will no longer filter properly.
REPLACING THE MAIN FILTER MEDIA INSERT
NOTE: The Pre-Filter media and the Main Filter media are not necessarily replaced at the
same time. The LED indicator lights refer only to the Main Filter media. Replace it when
the flow meter's red warning light flashes. For optimum performance we recommend
replacing the Main Filter media at least every 5 years or when the water flow is too low,
even if the red light has not yet come on.
We recommend wearing protective gloves when handling the used media.

Disconnect the Main Filter by removing the Inlet Assembly and then the
Pre-Filter, and twisting the Main Filter cartridge counterclockwise until it releases.
