If there are any deposits, discolouration, or a pungent smell can be
detected on the transport container, electrolyte leakage or a thermal
runaway of the battery must be assumed.
DANGER
Operation:
1.
Opening the transport container (see Chapter 4.1,
"Opening and Closing the Transport

Siphon or suction off the PyroBubbles® until the battery/cell becomes
visible.
3.
Now, the battery/cell may be removed.
Risk of poisoning due to toxic, partially
odourless gases, leaked toxic substances and
contaminated dust!
After thermal runaway of the cells or battery or
electrolyte leakage, the transport container may only
be opened using personal protective equipment
suitable for handling the hazardous material!
Danger of explosive gases!
Avoid ignition sources in the vicinity of cells or
batteries! If possible, ensure sufficient ventilation!
Danger due to electrical voltage!
Cover battery contacts with electrically insulating
materials! Wear sufficient insulating personal
protective equipment!
