Causes/measures
temperature
LED flashes red
The temperature during the charging process is too high.
The charging process has been automatically interrupted.
Depending on the fault detected, the LED will flash rapidly one to three times and will then
go out for one second. The flashing sequence will then repeat.
LED flashes once
The charging system is overheated:
The charging process will automatically continue when the charging system has cooled
down.
If the fault occurs repeatedly:
LED flashes twice
The vehicle socket is overheated:
The charging process will automatically continue when the vehicle socket has cooled
down.
If the fault occurs repeatedly:
LED flashes three times
The electrical installation is overheated:
The charging process will automatically continue when the electrical installation has
cooled down.
If the fault occurs repeatedly:
Causes/measures
charging
LED off
No charging process active.
LED lights up green
The vehicle is charging.
Ensure that the charging system is not exposed to direct sunlight.
Wait until the charging system has cooled down.
Do not use the charging system any longer and contact Mercedes-Benz Customer
Services.
Check the vehicle and vehicle socket (see vehicle Owner's Manual).
Wait until the vehicle socket has cooled down.
Have the vehicle checked at a qualified specialist workshop.
Wait until the electrical installation has cooled down.
Do not use the socket any longer.
Have the electrical installation checked by an electrician.
