Grinding Wheel Assembly
Disconnect the tool from power source. Be sure that the wheel guard is in place for grinding.
1. Place the backing flange on the spindle. Check to ensure that the backing flange is properly
seated on the spindle. It will click into place on the spindle and will cause the spindle to
rotate when the backing flange is rotated.
2. Place the grinding wheel on the backing flange.
Thread the lock nut onto the spindle with the flat side of the flange facing up. Making sure that
the opening in the wheel is positioned around the raised portion of the lock nut (Fig. 5 & Fig. 6).

3. Press the spindle-lock button to keep the
spindle from moving. While pressing the
spindle-lock button, tighten the lock nut by
turning it clockwise with the wrench supplied
(Fig.7).
4. To remove the wheel, disconnect the plug
from the electrical outlet. While pressing the
spindle lock button, loosen the lock nut by
turning it counter-clockwise with the wrench
supplied.
