3.5 SCOPE OF SUPPLY
All pumps of the type series Sanipump ZPG 71 are delivered with 10
m of cable and free cable end.
Optional:
- switching devices available as standard or special models with va-
rious level control systems;
- a coupling device (stationary operation) for the installation of the
pump.
3.6 MOTORS
The pumps Sanipump ZPG 71 are equipped with an AC asynchro-
nous induction motor or a three-phase asynchronous motor. In each
of the 3 motor windings one temperature sensors (bi-metal) is inte-
grated which work as temperature regu-lator respectively tempe-
rature limiters (opener). If the motor overheats for any reason, the
bimetallic contacts respond to this and the motor is switched off.
3.7 SWITCHING DEVICE
The pumps with 400 V three-phase motor are delivered without
switchgear.
The pumps with 230 V motor are delivered with a switchgear with
capacitor and motor protection.
4. INSTALLATION
DISCONNECT THE PUMP BEFORE ANY INTERVEN-
TION !
4.1 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
DANGER
Electrical connection work performed by an un-
qualified individual.
Risk of death by electric shock!
The electrical connection must be performed by a
qualified and licensed electrician.
The electrical installation must meet the current
standards in the country.
DANGER
The electrical connections are not to be exposed
to humidity!
CAUTION
Hot surface.
Burn Hazards!
Never touch the surface of the motor housing wit-
hout protective equipment.
The power supply must be class 1. The device must be connected to
an earthed junction box. The electrical power supply must be protec-
ted with a high sensitivity circuit breaker set to 30 mA upstream of
the control unit, or to prevent a failure of the control unit when the
residual current circuit breaker responds, one residual current cir-cuit
breaker per pump must be installed between control unit and pump.
This connection must be used exclusively for the Sanipump ZPG 71
power supply. If the cord of this device is damaged, it must be re-
placed by the manufacturer or its after-sales service in order to avoid
any danger to users.
• All wiring must conform local standards for electrical installations.
• Please observe the regulations of EN 12 056-4.
• The pump may only be operated with a motor protection relay that
must be manually reactivated after a fault has occurred!
• In the case of a three-phase current connection, the external fuse
protection must generally be 3-pole mechanically interlocked with
automatic circuit breakers of characteristic K. This ensures complete
disconnection from the mains and prevents 2-phase operation.
• All electrical devices such as control system, alarm transmitter
and socket must be installed in dry rooms so that they are protected
against flooding.
• The AC-powered model of the pump must be operated with the
supplied auxiliary switchgear.
• The pump is connected to an earthed wall socket with an earthed
type plug by means of the cable which is connected to the switching
device.
DANGER
The switching device has to be installed outside
the flood-endangered area!
The floater for the protection against dry run-
ning has to be installed in such a way, so that a
decline of the water level below the bottom line of
the motor housing is not possible.
If required, the motor housing can additionally be earthed by means
of the external earthing terminal intended for that.
Single-phase model
If an additional switching device is connected to the pump
Sanipump ZPG 71 S, it has to be connected as follows:
