5. Position the trimmer so the motor
housing is on the ground. Align one
of the ribs in the bump knob with the
slot in the spool base and lower the
bump knob onto the base (Fig. 32).
6. Use your palm to press the bump
knob until it is well seated and
locked into position in the base;
you hear a click when it is seated
(Fig. 33).
7. With the spool base facing
downward, align the slots in the
spool retainer with the tabs on the
spool base and press the retainer
evenly down until it snaps into place
(Fig. 34).
