11. Commissioning
For meters without oil pump:continuewithpoint"Placingthesystemintooperation".
Meters with oil pumpmustbeprovidedwithinitiallubrication.

Before commissioning:

First open the coverontheoilsupplytank.

– Filltheoilsupplytankwiththesuppliedoil.
– The oil quantityissufficientwhentheoillevelisvisibleinthestrainer.
– Operatetheoil pump as instructed in section "Maintenance and Lubrication" and only
thenclosetheoilsupplytank.
Placing the system into operation
Inordernottodamagethemeter,
slowly fill the system until operating pressure is reached.

The pressure risemaynotexceed350mbar/s.Youshouldalsouseabypasslineforfilling
–
(recommendation:12mmpipediameter).
Do not exceed the measuring rangeevenbriefly!

– Conduct a tightness test!
Important!Dirtparticles,suchasweldingbeads,swarfandotherforeignbodies,maybecon-
tainedinthegasforashortwhileafterinstallation.
For this reason, always fit a coarse filter in order to avoid damage to the measuring unit. Do
not forgettoremovethecoarsefilterafterapprox.4–6weekssince,shoulditbecomesatu-
rated,thiswouldproduceanobstacletoflow.
