9. Temperature Test Points

Youcanuseamaximumoftwotemperature sensors for meas-
uring the gas temperature in the meter housing for the meter
sizes listed in the table below (quantometers cannot be fitted
withthermowellsinthemeterhousing;onTRZ2thermowellsare
optionaluptonominaldiameterDN150):

Notethattemperaturemeasurementonmeasurementsystemsintheopenairmaybeinfluenced
bytheambienttemperature.Forthisreason,themetering elements outside the pipe should
be adequately insulatedagainstambienttemperatureinfluences. In order to achieve optimum
thermalconduction,youshouldalsoalwaysfillthethermowell(s)withaheat-conductivefluidor
paste.
If no temperature test points in the meter housing are scheduled, the temperature must be
measured in the pipe downstream of the turbine gas meteratadistanceofupto3xDN,but
max.600mmaway.
