4 Transport and storage
4.1 Transporting the product
Hazards during transportation
• Proceed with caution and observe the information on the packaging when un-
loading and transporting the packaged product to the destination.
• Ensure that the product cannot fall down before the product is released from
the mountings.
• Take steps to avoid damage when lifting the product.
• Wear PPE.
4.2 Storing the product
Damage due to incorrect storage
Unfavorable storage conditions can result in corrosion and material deteriora-
tion.
• Only store the product in locations which are dry, cool, and prevent corrosion.
• Protect the product from direct sunlight and UV radiation.
• Keep the product in its packaging until the time of installation.
• Also observe any additional storage information on the product packaging.
4.3 Returning the product
• Before returning the product: Get in touch with our contact address. See back
cover.
• Observe the storage conditions until such time as you return the product.
5 Product description
5.1 Labeling and identification
CE mark and UKCA identification
This product meets the requirements of directive 2014/34/EU (EMC) and
directive 2014/30/EU (ATEX). The product is labeled with CE and UKCA
identification. The declaration of conformity is enclosed.
Product identification
The ordered product is clearly identified by the material number. The material
number can be found in these locations:
• On the name plate.

5.2 Warning signs on the product
Sticker
Explanation
The warning label is located on cylinders with a through piston rod.
• When screwing on the piston rod, always counter at an engage-
ment point on the same side of the cylinder.
• Never counter-rotate or rotate both ends of the piston rod.
5.3 Use in explosive areas
Identification of the mechanical explosion protection
The cylinder meets the requirements in the ATEX directive 2014/34/EU of the Eu-
ropean Union.
