General digital inputs
START: command signal for powering the electrical arc.
0V = arc OFF
24V = arc ON
WIRE FORWARD: wire extension command signal. The extension speed corre-
sponds to the value set by the operator. Wire extension stays active for the entire
"command active" time.
0V = wire not extended
24V = wire extended
WIRE BACK: wire retraction command signal. Wire retraction speed is 1m/min and
retraction time is 1s.
0V = wire back inactive
24V = wire back active
AIR TEST: command signal for opening the air circuit solenoid-valve. The solenoid-
valve stays open for the entire "command active" time.
0V = no air flow
24V = air flow
GAS TEST: command signal for opening the gas circuit solenoid-valve. The sole-
noid-valve stays open for the entire "command active" time.
0V = test inactive
24V = test active
EMERGENCY: command signal for total shut-down of the welding process. For con-
nection to the system's safety devices.
0V = system in alarm status
24V = system operating normally
