Vacuum pump
Using the vacuum pump
 Remove the valve caps of the liquid valve and
gas valve and remove the nut of the refrigerant
charge port.
 Connect the piezometer charge pipe to the
refrigerant charge bore of the gas valve. Then
connect the other charge pipe to the vacuum
pump.
 Open the piezometer completely and let it run
for 10 – 15 minutes to check if the pressure of
the piezometer remains at -0.1 MPa.
 Close the vacuum pump and maintain this
condition for 1 – 2 minutes
pressure of the piezometer remains at
0.1 MPa. If the pressure falls, there may be a
leak.
