Safety guidelines
• Do not touch the heat exchanger fins.
– Improper handling may result in injury.
• When cleaning the heat exchanger and drain pan, ensure water does not get spilled
over furnace parts, PAA unit insulation or air duct insulation.
– Failure to do so can cause heat exchanger corrosion and contribute to insulation
aging.
• Do not reconstruct or change the settings of the protective devices.
– If the pressure switch, thermal switch, float switch or other protection devices are
shorted and operated forcibly, or parts other than those specified by Mitsubishi Electric
are used, fire or explosion may result.
• Do not stand on, or place any items on the unit.
– This may cause damage to the unit or injury.
• Do not operate the PAA unit and the outdoor unit with the panels and guards removed.
– Rotating, hot, or high-voltage parts can cause injuries.
• Never insert fingers, sticks etc. into the intakes or outlets. Children should not be
allowed around the PAA unit, furnace or outdoor unit equipment.
– This may result in injury or electric shock.
• Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this
or any other appliance.
– Explosive conditions may occur.
• Should furnace discharge air and fail to shut off, follow the furnace installation manual to
disable the gas and electric supply to the furnace.
– This may result in overheating.
• Never block or cover the indoor or outdoor unit's intakes or outlets.
– This may result in damage to property such as fire.
• To dispose of this product, consult a dealer, contractor or technician with proper
certification as required by laws and codes.
– This may result in injury or electric shock.
