7. Care and cleaning
WARNING
• It is recommended that the PAA unit be inspected once a year by a qualified service
person.
– Improper maintenance may result in poisonous gas, fire, explosion, electric shock or
water leak.
• Clean the unit only after turning it off and disconnecting the power supply.
– Incorrect cleaning procedures may damage the heat exchanger surfaces, break
plastic parts, cause water leakage, or cause electric shock.
CAUTION
• Use a stable prep stand. Pay extra attention when cleaning the cased coil (maintenance
and inspection).
• Clean the drain pan periodically.
– If dust clogs the drainage pipes, water leaks will occur and the system will not operate
in cooling mode.
• For cleaning, contact a dealer, contractor or technician with proper certification as
required by laws and codes. (Coils should be cleaned before cooling or heating seasons
begin.)
