Safety Instructions
The mains voltage is always to be switched off before any work on the system or the system components.
Assembly may only be carried out by qualifi ed specialists.
During assembly the installation instructions in accordance with VDE 0100 are to be observed.
The CHECK IN track system is not suitable for assembly in humid areas.
The system is only suitable for internal rooms with a max. ambient temperature of 25°C.
Only components of the CHECK IN – System must be used.
WARNING: Danger of electric shock!
Before setting the system to work, all exposed track ends must be closed with track end caps (Item-No. 31-601-10-XX)
or
the track terminator (Item-No. 31-602-1X-YY), and all components fi tted.
Note that bulbs and lamps generate high temperatures in operation. Therefore there must be a minimum distance of
at least 50 cm between bulbs and infl ammable objects.
All fi xing elements must be checked for secure seating before setting the system to work.
Shades and/or protective glasses attached to lights must be mounted in a correct condition. Broken shades and/or
protective glasses are to be replaced immediately.
The CHECK IN track system is designed for a design voltage of 230 V AC (max. 250V AC) and can be loaded with 16 A
(3600W) max..
Use only suitable dimmers for dimmer operation (see "Dimming Guide", page 15 ff.).
The system cannot be dimmed during common use of incandescent lamps and electronic voltage adapters.
Do not hang any objects (decorative material, cables inter alia) above the system which could adversely affect the
electrical, mechanical or thermal safety.
No guarantee can be accepted for damage arising through incorrect assembly or improper use.
The user is responsible for ensuring electrical, mechanical and thermal compatibility between the current track system
and the attached lights and bulbs.
Track carrier
ASSEMBLY OF THE TRACK CARRIER
The distance between the track carriers may be 1500 mm max.!
The static load between two carriers may be 5 kg maximum, i.e. for a track carrier distance of e.g. 750 mm a track
length of 1500 mm can be loaded with 10 kg (2x 5 kg) max..
A suitable attachment material (hollow space dowels, etc.) is to be used for mounting on Rigips-, plasterboard or
similar ceilings.
The type A 50 mm track carrier (Item-No. 31-301-10-XX) is not adjustable in height (Figure 1a).
The additional joint (Item-No. 62-303-01-XX) is available for mounting on roof slopes and can be mounted
between the ceiling fl ange and the rod holder.
