Note. Continue fitting the electrical installation for the tow bar on
the vehicle (see the fitting instructions for the electrical installation
for the tow bar).
After the electrical installation has been successfully fitted, refit all the components that
were removed earlier and tighten the respective connections to the specified tightening
torques.
Please inform the customer of the following conditions:
Do not drive the vehicle through a car wash within 24 hours of bonding the frame to the
rear bumper – fig. 18.
After the first 500 km or so travelling with the trailer attached, check the bracket's
threaded connections on the vehicle chassis, and have them tightened to the specified
tightening torque of 90 Nm if necessary. We recommend having this checked by your
nearest authorised specialist service centre.
Fitting/removing the ball hitch and inserting the cover into/removing it from the bumper
can be found in the Owner's Manual for the vehicle, in the "Tow bar and trailer" chapter.

set out in the Owner's Manual. Furthermore, the warranty shall not cover damage caused by
weathering. The seller shall also accept no responsibility for any damage in cases where the
tow bar has been modified or otherwise altered.
