• Fill storage tank with fuel.
• Close the tank by turning the tank cover (2) clock-
wise.
Recommended fuel
Only unleaded regular petrol with a research octane
rating of 91 or higher is required for this engine.
m Only use fresh, clean fuel.
Water or impurities in the petrol damage the fuel sys-
tem.
m Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the en-
gine stopped. If the engine was in opera-
tion immediately before, allow it to cool first.
Never refuel the engine in a building where the
fuel vapour may come into contact with flames or
sparks.
Petrol is highly inflammable and explosive. When
handling fuels, you may suffer burns or other se-
vere injuries.
• Switch off the engine and keep it away from heat,
sparks and flames.
• Only refuel outdoors.
• Mop up spilled petrol immediately.
Earthing (Fig. 1)
Earthing the housing is necessary to discharge static
charging. To do this, connect a cable on one side to the
earth terminal (8) of the power generator and on the oth-
er side to an external mass rising pipe (e.g. rod earth).
10. Start up
m Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Start the engine (fig. 1)
m ATTENTION! When starting with the start pull cord
(12), injuries to the hand can occur due to sudden kick-
back. Wear protective gloves for starting.
Cold state
• Set the on/off switch (10) to the "ON" position.
• Turn the tank ventilation (1) to the "ON" position.
• Carefully push the choke lever (13) to the right as far
as it will go.
• Turn the fuel valve (11) to the "ON" position.
• Use the start pull cord (12) to start the engine;
to do so, pull the handle forcefully. If the en-
gine does not start, pull on the handle again.
24 | GB
• Push the choke lever (13) back after starting the en-
gine.
Warm state
• Set the on/off switch (10) to the "ON" position
• Turn the tank ventilation (1) to the "ON" position.
• Turn the fuel valve (11) to the "ON" position.
• Use the start pull cord (12) to start the engine; to do
so, pull the handle forcefully. If the engine does not
start, pull on the handle again.
m ATTENTION! This socket may be loaded with 1000 W
continuously (S1) and with 1020 W for a short time (S2)
for a maximum of 5 minutes.
Note: Some electrical devices (motorised jigsaws, drills,
etc.) can have high power consumption if they are used
under difficult conditions.
Switch off the engine (Fig. 1)
Allow the power generator to run for a short time with-
out load before switching it off so that the unit can "cool
down".
• Set the on/off switch (10) to the "OFF" position.
• Close the fuel valve (11).
Connection to alternating current (AC)
• Allow the generator to run for a few minutes before
connecting electrical devices.
• Do not exceed the load capacity of the generator by
connecting more electrical devices than the device
can handle.
• Do not switch on electrical devices until they are con-
nected to the generator.
Tip: If the generator is connected to several loads or
power consumers, please remember to connect the one
with the highest starting current first. and the one with
the lowest starting current last.
Overload indicator (6)
The overload protection becomes active if the power
consumption is too high and switches off the 230 V
socket (4).
• Switch the device off.
• Reduce the total wattage of the connected electrical
devices to the rated power.
• Check the air filter for contamination. If contamina-
tion is detected, remove it. (see air filter)
• Put the device back into operation.
