Wink. The wink function is used to identify a device.

The device has not received a BACnet token, and therefore
cannot communicate on the network: Verify that the control-
ler's MAC Address is unique on the BACnet MS/TP Data
Bus. Make sure the controller's BAUD rate is the same as the
BACnet MS/TP Data Bus' BAUD rate. Verify that the Max
Master is set high enough to include this controller's MAC
Address (see also NCI documentation).
Invalid MAC address: The device's MAC address is set to
zero (0) or is set to an address higher than the Max Master
(see also NCI documentation).
