winding crown
The winding crown is used to wind the watch
(position 2) and to set the time (position 3).
winding
Your watch incorporates a self-winding movement.
The movements of your wrist set a centrifugal mass
in motion; this tensions the mainspring which
stores the energy. When you take off your fully
wound watch, it will continue to run for up to
45 hours. When it has stopped after depleting the
power reserve, it can be rewound by hand (about
10 clockwise turns of the crown). Please wind the
watch before you put it on. This way, you can avoid
lateral pressure on the winding stem which in the
course of the years could damage the stem tube.

basic setting
The reference time for your Aquanaut Travel Time
is the time at home, where you normally live or
work. To set home time, first actuate one of the
pushers in the left-hand flank of the case as many
times as needed to superpose the skeletonized and
solid hour hands and to display the same color
in the day/night indicator apertures at 3 o'clock
(HOME) and at 9 o'clock (LOCAL). Now, you can
unscrew the crown, gently pull it out, and move
the hands clockwise or counterclockwise until they
indicate the current time. The day/night indicator
in the round aperture at 3 o'clock (HOME) lets
you check whether you have set the correct time
(white stands for the daylight hours from 6 a.m. to
6 p.m., black for the nighttime hours from 6 p.m.
