PLACE OF WORK
The tool that you have purchased is a portable electric
power tool.
Only one user should operate this tool, given its shape,
weight and maneuverability.
During normal use the operator must hold the
handgrips fi rmly with both hands and always keep
both hands away from the applied blade.
5
REGULATION
The tool is already regulated according to standard
parameters by the constructor when supplied.
If necessary the following adjustments are possible.
5.1
LONGITUDINAL ADJUSTMENT (fi g. 2)
This adjustment allows the blade to be aligned with
the support base.
Adjust by acting on the nuts (A) which fi x the register
plate (B). Align the blade with the 0° locating slot (C)
on the adjustable angle base.
5.2
PERPENDICULAR ADJUSTMENT (fi g. 3)
This adjustment makes sure that the blade (A) is
positioned correctly at a 90° angle compared to the
support base (B).
Adjust by acting on the two screws (C), either tightening
or loosening them, until squared as required.
To make this adjustment easier, loosen the two slant
adjustment ball grips fi rst (Q in fi g. 1).
5.3
ADJUSTING THE SUPPORT BASE (fi g. 4)
Cut s of up to 4 5° c an be executed. Pos sible
imperfections in the slant of the tool head at 45°
compared to the support base can be adjusted.
- Loosen the ball grips (A) which allow the tool head
to slant.
- Adjust the two screws (B) until the blade is aligned
with the 45° reference (C).
- Tighten the ball grips (A).
5.4
ADJUSTING THE SPLITTING WEDGE (fi g. 5)
The splitting wedge (A) stops the wood from gripping
behind the blade, and therefore stops possible
jamming.
For safety reasons the splitting wedge must never
be removed.
A leverage system makes sure that even if the cutting
depth is changed, the wedge maintains the correct
position in relation to the blade.
The splitting wedge (A) must always be set so that the
distance between the wedge and the toothed edge of
the blade (B) does not exceed 5 mm. Furthermore,
the lowest point of the toothed edge must never
protrude more than 5 mm from the bottom edge of
the wedge (fi g. 5).
When the blade has been sharpened repeatedly,
check the distance between the splitting wedge and
the blade.
If necessary reset the distance by acting on the locking
screws (C).
To set the distance between the splitting wedge and
the blade proceed as follows:
- Disconnect the plug from the mains electricity
supply.
- Release the tool head from the safety catch.
- Open the cutting depth lock to the maximum extent
(see 5.5).
- Press the front hand grip downwards until the locking
screw (C) of the splitting wedge is level with the slot
(D) of the protective guard.
- The splitting wedge is fi xed with a self-locking screw
(C) to avoid accidental removal.
- Loosen the screw (C) with the Allen wrench
supplied.
- Reset the correct distance between the wedge and
the blade.
- Tighten the locking screw (C).
- Place the tool head in the rest position.
5.5
ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH (fi g. 6)
Before starting a new job set the tool at the required
cutting depth.
Adjust the cutting depth as follows:
- Loosen the ball grip (A) which fi xes the depth lock
(B).
- Set the depth lock (B) to the required measurement
using the graduated scale (C).
- Lock the ball grip (A).
6
OPERATION AND USE
This hand held circular plunge saw is particularly
robust and universal for sawing solid wood, stratifi ed
wood, plywood and plastic wood.

the high power reserve, this machine is suitable for
carpenters, plumbers, building sites, joiners, cutting
window and door frames, etc.
6.1
CONDITIONS OF USE
- Warning: before use carefully check the state of
the blade.
- DO NOT USE FAULTY BLADES
- Do not use the machine upside-down: this an
extremely dangerous way of working which could
lead to serious damage.
- Make sure that the piece to be cut is stable.
- Adjust the cutting depth of the blade bearing in
mind that the correct position requires that only the
tooth of the blade protrudes below the piece to be
cut. (fi g. 7)
- Place the front edge of the support base on the piece
to be cut.
- Slowly lower the tool head using the front hand
grip.
- Wait until the blade has reached full speed before
bringing it into contact with the piece.
- Advance the tool over the material to be cut in a
regular manner avoiding jerky movements.
- While advancing apply the appropriate pressure
according the type and size of the material to be cut
follwing the cutting direction of the blade, if the blade
advances too quickly the cut will not be perfect.
- Only lif t the motor unit when the blade is
motionless.
- Long pieces can only be cut safely if they are properly
supported (fi g. 8).
- Before cutting large areas it is important to trace
out the cut. While cutting the mark can be followed
using the reference index on the support base at both
90° and 45°.
- It is advisable to always use the parallel guide.
- When you have finished working it is always
advisable to leave the machine in the rest position:
raise the tool head and insert the safety catch.
6.2
SIDE GUIDE (fi g. 9)
If cutting operations need to be carried out at a preset
distance from a 90° rabbet, the special side guide (A)
(supplied with the machine) can be fi tted.
The guide is inserted on the side in the support base
housing. Fix the distance from the edge by tightening
the ball grip (B).
6.3
90° PERPENDICULAR CUTS (fi g. 10)
