CAUTION
Risk of electric shock
If there is a standby button, please note the following:
− Switching the device off at the standby button only switches off the low voltage internally.
It does not switch off the life-threatening mains voltage in the device.
− Pull out the power plug to disconnect from the mains.
CAUTION
Risk of ineffective safety measures
− If it is determined that protective measures are no longer effective, the device must be
taken out of service and secured against inadvertent operation, to avoid the risk of injury.
− Contact ZEISS Service to have the device repaired.
CAUTION
Risk of fire from heat accumulation
− Always check the device is switched off before covering it with a dust cover.
− Clogging or covering of ventilation slats is also prohibited.
− Failure to comply with these two instructions can lead to an accumulation of heat, which
can damage the device and, in the worst-case scenario, cause a fire.
CAUTION
Risk of damage to the device due to incorrect or improvised fuses
− When changing the device fuses, only fuses specified in the technical data may be used.
− The use of other fuses and short-circuiting the fuse box are prohibited, to avoid the risk of
overheating, smoke formation or fire in the device.
NOTICE
Environmental damage due to improper disposal
− Do not dispose of defective equipment in regular domestic waste. It should be disposed of
in accordance with the prevailing national legal requirements. The manufacturer of the
device is under the legal obligation to take defective devices back.
− Sample waste should be disposed of in accordance with the prevailing national legal
requirements.
