Danger!
If the compressed air circuit and
material supply are not discon-
nected before performing main-
tenance work, components can
detach and/or material escape
unexpectedly.
→ Prior to any maintenance work,
run the automatic gun until it is
empty, switch it off, disconnect it
from the compressed air circuit
and empty the gravity flow cup.
Notice!
Improper assembly can lead to
damage to the automatic gun.
→ Arrest automatic gun on a level
surface before performing main-
tenance work.
→ Ensure that threads are seated
properly.
→ Lubricate all moving parts
with SATA gun grease (Art. No.
48173).
Loose screws can lead to part
damage or malfunction.
→ Tighten all screws by hand and
check for tightness.
Use of the wrong tools can lead
to damage to the automatic gun.
→ Use only special tools supplied
by SATA.
Springs and small parts can fall
out during disassembly. The exact
installation position and installation
sequence is shown in the illustra-

tions. Failure to observe can lead
to damage to the components or to
malfunction.
Replacement parts are available for
repair (see Chap. 13).
10.1. Replace nozzle set
The nozzle set consists of a tested
combination of paint needle [5-7],
air nozzle [5-9] and paint nozzle
[5-8]. Always replace the complete
nozzle set.
Disassemble nozzle set
■ Unscrew and remove control cap
[5-1].
■ Remove washer [5-2] and spring
[5-3].
■ Unscrew end cap (24 mm) [5-4].
■ Remove both springs [5-5], [5-6].
■ Remove paint needle [5-7].
■ Unscrew air nozzle ring [5-10] by
hand and remove together with air
nozzle [5-9].
■ Unscrew paint nozzle [5-9] using
SATA universal wrench.
Install new nozzle set
Notice!
The components can be dam-
aged if installed in the wrong
sequence.
→ Always install paint nozzle
before installing paint needle.
