Note:
• To protect themotor, the guidelines of Figures 8.1 and 8.3 should be followed.
• The power distribution network should not have a variance in voltage of more than ± 10%.
• The drop in voltage caused by the peak of the start should not be greater than 10%.
• Use a retarded type fuse.
• The expenses of installation and accessories are paid for by the customer.
9. STARTUP PROCEDURE
IMPORTANT
There is one type of drill bit for each type of material to be bored. Consult the drill bits'
manufacturer for correct selection.
After finishing the steps related to the drill placement and assembly, and installation of the electrical network
(performed by the client), do the following procedures:
1. Consult the instructions contained in this manual for the correct selection of the drill's diameter, according to
the material do be drilled. For drilling 10mm or larger diameter holes, a guide hole is recommended.
2. Turn on the start switch, and observe the direction of the rotation, which is clockwise.
3. Check if the chuck 14 (that comes with the machine) and the drill bit (not supplied) are properly aligned.
4. Your drill is ready for use
Nota: Removing the chuck (Figure 9.1): to remove the chuck, lower the spindle using the feed handle, insert the
wedge, and hit it (accessory that comes with the machine).
IMPORTANT
Never hit the chuck. For a good tightening of the drill bit, use the chuck key to tighten
it in three possible positions.
