Messages
Messages
There are two kinds of messages; error messages and
warning messages. This section lists these messages
together with their possible causes and remedies. Note
the messages and act accordingly.
Besides error and warning messages, other messages
stating the operating status of the printer are also
displayed. Those messages are not described here.
Error Messages
If a problem occurs, the ALARM indicator lights and an
error message stating the problem appears on the printer
window display. Note the message and perform
whatever action is necessary to solve the problem.

CHECK PAPER AND
The paper may be jammed.
tRemove jammed paper from the
PUSH [EXEC]
printer, if there is any. Ensure that
no paper has jammed, then press
the EXEC button (page 9).
CLOSE DOOR
The maintenance door is open.
tClose the maintenance door
(page 6).
MECHA TROUBLE
Mechanical trouble has occurred in the
printer.
tTurn off the power once and then
turn it on. If the message still
remains on the printer window
display, turn off the power
immediately and contact your Sony
dealer.
NO IMAGE DATA
No image data is stored in the printer
memory.
tTransfer the image data from your
computer.
REMOVE
When printing, the cleaning sheet was

tRemove the cleaning sheet, and
then load the paper. To clean the
thermal head or roller, open the
CLEANING menu so that the
printer enters the cleaning mode
