CERTIFICATE OF ORIGIN
A Certificate of Origin was issued for your watch. Among other
information, it indicates the movement and case numbers. It
must mention your name and be dated and signed by an
Authorized Patek Philippe Retailer to confirm the authenticity
of your watch and validate your guarantee privileges.
The unique movement and case numbers of each watch are
transcribed into the workshop journals. By providing this infor-
mation, every purchaser has the opportunity to be entered in
the "Register of Owners" of Patek Philippe timepieces. Only
registered owners are entitled to receive the free, regularly
published international Patek Philippe Magazine.
MATERIALS
The case, case back, metal bracelet, buckle and spring bars are
made of 18K gold or 950/1000 platinum and stamped accord-
ingly. All Patek Philippe watches have a sapphire-crystal glass.
Because sapphire is nearly as hard as diamond, the glass will
preserve its flawless appearance for a very long time.
QUALITY CONTROL
All movements and watches are subject to a series of technical
tests and visual inspections to verify their rate accuracy, winding
function integrity, power reserve, water resistance, and overall
appearance. On average, a Calatrava Travel Time runs for 190
hours before it leaves the Patek Philippe workshops and fulfills
all of our quality requirements, agreed to be the most stringent
in the entire Swiss watchmaking industry.
