Starting the unit

When starting the unit, observe the precautions described in the
"Safety" section. Failure to observe the precautions could cause
an accident or injury, or even lead to a fatality.
1. Fill the chain oil tank with lubricant.
2. Remove guide bar scabbard.
3. Make sure guide bar and saw chain
are not touching anything when
starting the chainsaw.
4. Hold the chainsaw by both handles.
5. Hold down the trigger switch
lockout (H) and depress trigger
switch (I) to increase saw chain
speed. If you depress trigger switch
with chain brake activated, power is
turned off.

Stopping the unit

1. Release trigger switch and trigger
switch lockout, and allow saw chain
to stop.
Note: If the saw chain does not stop
when the trigger switch and trigger
switch lockout are released, remove
the battery to stop the power supply
to chainsaw. Have your authorized
ECHO servicing dealer repair unit
before using again.
