Cutting Conditions
The factors described below can significantly alter the quality of the cut.
Raw material capacity
For optimal cutting, it is recommended to load the drum to half of its capacity. An insufficient quantity of product can
cause a high deterioration of the flowers and a heterogeneous cut.
Barrel speed
The machine has three different barrel rotation speeds (slow, medium and fast). Knowing which of them is correct for
the flower type and size can affect the quality of the cut.
Operating time
It is very important that the raw material to be processed remains for the necessary time inside the drum for a
homogeneous cut because otherwise it will deteriorate further. As a general recommendation, the flowers should
remain in the drum for 12-15 minutes to obtain the desired cut. It should be taken into account that the operating
time will depend on the selected working speed, the variety, the size and the residual moisture content of the flower.
IMPORTANT: The use of eye protectors and safety gloves is recommended.
