6. ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS

The power voltage and frequency is specified on the motor's specifications plate.
Make sure that the motor is suitable for the power supply and that the motor terminal
connection is correct.
6.1. General connection requirements
Verify if the following requirements are met:
· Electric wires are protected against high temperature, vibration and impact.
· The power source is fitted with the following:
ATTENTION:
· Electric connections must be carried out by a qualified electrician
according to local regulations.
· The user must determine if it is necessary to install an emergency stop
switch.
· Pumping equipment must be fitted with all the safety devices required
by the directive EN-60204-1, as well as all those regulations applicable
in the country where the pump is to be installed..
DANGER:
Before removing the electric connections box and before removing/
dismantling the pump, make sure it has been unplugged from the mains
and that it cannot be accidentally switched on.
- Short-circuit protection (circuit breaker)
- High sensitivity residual current device (30 mA) to offer additional
protection against electric shock.
- Main switch with a contact surface of at least 3 mm.
