1. Detach the brush base by gently flipping it
down (Fig. 5).
WARNING:
Risk of injury! Proceed with particular cau-
tion when cleaning steps.
For hard floors:
Slide the On/Off button on the handle into posi-
tion "I" (Fig. 6).
CAUTION:
When cleaning hard floors, make sure that
you do no select position "II" as hard floors
may become damaged by the rotating bris-
tles of the brush roller.
For carpets:
Slide the On/Off button on the handle into posi-
tion "II" (Fig. 6).

Make sure that the surface can resist the
force of the rotating bristles of the brush

roller without becoming damaged. Even
then, do not stay too long in the same spot.
2. You can now continue vacuum cleaning
- until the capacity of the rechargeable bat-
tery is low and needs to be charged
(Zchapter 3.2, "Charging the rechargea-
ble battery")
or
- until the dust bin needs to be emptied
(Zchapter 6.1, "Emptying the dust bin").
3. As soon as you have finished cleaning,
switch off the appliance at the On/Off but-
ton on the handle (Fig. 6).
